S. Leslie "Kevin's Mom" (Plano, TX United States) : Got this for my 5 year old son so he could have his own camera instead of grabbing mine. I already had to have my camera worked on once because he was rough on it. He obviously had an interest in taking pictures and his "kids" camera just wasn't cutting it with him. He wanted a "big kid" version. The pricing allowed me to get something that would serve his curiosity and the features allow it to serve as my backup camera. Because the right side has the extended curve, it is easy for him to hold. I like that it used AA batteries so that I don't have to spend a lot on a proprietary one. The quality has been fine. No complaints.
Bar Con (USA) : I have not had this camera for long, but so far it has been fairly easy to learn its operational procedures and it takes good quality pictures. My only concern for the future is the durability of the black hard rubber cover on the Audio/video Output Digital Terminal. This covers the place where you plug in the cable to download pictures to the computer. I fear it may break off after any amount of use and I doubt it could be replaced. I hope I am wrong. Perhaps Canon might address that.
Anita John : It is tiny but the screen is as big as the camera.
It really does have a nice shake system, if shake a bit or take a picture driving 60 mph it adjusts for that without blur.
Love the price for what I got.
The only hard thing was the install CD did not work for some reason. I had to download the software and the driver for it. That took some time and I had to have tech support from Cannon help on-line. It all worked out though.
